BOOTHS LANE, CADDICK ROAD AREA STILL NEEDS NEW BUS SERVICE

The residents in the Booths Lane Bowman Road area sadly lost there bus service a few years ago due to the private bus companies not wish to lose money on the route 655.
Sadly they rejected a petition I handed in on behalf of residents many of whom are elderly.
One of the reasons given for the route not taking in this mini estate was "buses could not use the entrance" (off the Queslett Road) to this small estate because it was to tight".
However the Oscott Councillors helped get this entrance widened so that can no longer be an excuse.

I am continuing through Centro to press bus companies to extend their routes to take in the Booths Lane, Bowman Road, Caddick Road  area and have reminded all concerns of the newly built development and the work being carried out further along the Booths Lane, when finished between them will add up to 300 new homes and a number potential new customers for the private bus companies.

This issue has certainly not been forgotten by me.
