GEORGE KNOWN AS DEREK READE R.I.P

It was with great sadness that I learnt of the death today of Derek Reade.

Shortly after Inspector Peter Schuck and I founded the Oscott Neigbourhood Police Initiative more years ago than I care to remember Derek  cam along to volunteer and become a senior co ordinator.

Derek  worked behind the scenes until a few years ago when illness preventing him from taking a more active roll.

Derek was not a moaner but a hands on and help person who cared about his community.
 He will be missed and I would like to pass on my deepest Sypathy to his wife Valerie and his family.
