I Chaired a meeting of the Birmingham. Transport Users Forum yesterday for the first time. This is a forum where residents interested in Public Transport can come along and discuss issues with WMPTA Members, Public Transport providers (Rail, Bus, Metro,) the Police Travel Unit and Centro Officers.
The format of these meeting is due to go local next year in as much as there will be 5 meetings a year. One meeting will be held in the Centre of Birmingham and one each in four different areas of Birmingham. The Chairs of these meeting will, rotate with a locally based WMPTA Councillor Chairing a meeting near his/ her own patch. It is also hoped more local resident will get involved.
