BOOTHS LANE TIME FOR ACTION

Since my recent post a number of residents have contacted me indicating that the condition of the Booths Lane Carriage way is causing them a lot of concern.
Both local residents and my self are in constant touch with senior Council Officers trying to find a solution to this problem.
The Government Transportation departments have AGAIN indicated that the Council Authorities have the power to take action, if the owner of this private carriage way does not and I think it is time the Council did something.
This problem has gone on for a number of years but clearly the state of the carriage way has got MUCH WORSE over the last year or so and if there is not to be an accident the Council, and the owner must do something, very soon to address the problem of the pot holes which are so bad in this lane.

The sorry condition of Booths Lane is yet another indication of how fast we are becoming a third world country. Why are we paying so much in taxes relating to transport and it's infrastructure and yet we have roads that are returning to nature as no more than a dirt track you would find in countries that are a hell of lot poorer that us here the UK. Come on Birmingham council do the right thing and return this vital road link to a safe condition by adopting it and hopefully averting a disaster that is bound to happen soon.I again throw open my challenge to the persons responsible for the safety of the citizens of our great city, come for a ride on my motorcycle along Booths Lane with me and then tell me that this is a safe road to use.

Nice rant, G6LPB, mostly tosh but you are right that those responsible for the safety of the people of Birmingham (the Tory-Lib Dem coalition) should coem for a ride down Booths Lane but I suspect they would rather go on yet another junket to the Middle East.

As for our taxes the British always want to pay US taxes and get European services, but you can't have it both ways.

Every one concerned is getting frustrated regarding the condition of the carriage way in Booths Lane.
As indicated I am happy to work with any to try and find a solution.
