SHADY LANE MAST GIVEN GO AHEAD

Sadly despite receiving a petition from local residentsand the Councillor Barbara Dring lead campaign against the erection of a mast to the rear of Shady Lane, teh Councils Planning Committee agreed to allow the mast application to go ahead.
At Thursday the 2nd August Planning Committee meeting despite some reservations the all party Planning Committee voted in favour of erecting this mast.
Senior Council officer explained there were no medical reasons to oppose the mast, it was sighted on Industrial land, the mast company would be sharing the facility which would mean the need for fewer  masts and if it was turned down the Governments own inspectors would almost certainly agree with any appeal against the decision.
I was unable to be on the Planning committee as I had already spoken out against the mast application.
