Working in association with the Oscott Residents Groups and the Friends of the Queslett Nature Reserve I am starting a "Lets clean up a grot spot campaign". Members will be trying to to tidy up those hard to get to litter filled areas in the Oscott Ward.
Sadly due to cuts in funding it looks like this type of campaign may have to be carried out more often. It is not so much a case of "big Society in action" as lets get on and do things our selves because they have taken away the funding.
Given the cuts in funding by the Council I am really pleased that volunteers have come forward to help to clean up in Oscott.
