This is the time of year we need to remember our older friends and neighbours. We may not have had as much snow (yet) as last year it is very cold.
Too cold and icy in fact for a number of older residents in the area to get about safely.
If you know any elderly neighbours or friends who may be struggling to get out why not ask how they are and offer to fetch them a bit of shopping when you get your own?
Also remind them to keep themselves warm. It only takes a minute to check that an elderly friend is ok. If they need any help or advice they can contact Age UK who have a number of trained members who may be able to offer help and assistance. Tel 358 0309
