SPEED INDICATOR SIGN PROGRESS FOR KINGSTANDING ROAD AND KETTLEHOUSE ROAD.

 Kingstanding Road

At long last after a number of complaints made by Councillor Barbara Dring and myself we have now been informed that the Kingstanding Road speed indicator sign is to be installed. Highway Engineers has confirmed this long awaited and campaigned for sign will be installed during the week commencing June 11th. Betwwen Hawthorn Road and College Road.
There have been a number of accidents on this road and Community Speed Watch results have indicated this road needs a speed indicator sign. It is no magic solution but lets hope it helps reduce the problems of speeding on Kingstanding Road.

Kettlehouse Road / Bandywood Road

I have now also been informed that the technical issues which have meant the proposed relocation of the Speed indicator Sigh in Kettlehouse Road have been resolved and the speed indicator will be put in a more suitable location during the net month. Once again we have a road (Kettlehouse) where there have been a number of accidents caused by speeding and this measure should help reduce the problem.
There are also to be some additional carriage way markings.
