PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS BOOTHS LANE WHAT ARE YOUR CONCERNS?

As indicated previously there will be an opportunity to residents to meet with the Booths Lane developers Taylor Wimpey Homes on the 18th of February at 7pm at the Glenmead School.
Members of the Planning department have been asked along as have Transportation Engineers.

I fully understand a number of local residents will not be available to attend this meeting and I would ask if you have concerns please contact me by email Keith.Linnecor@birmingham.gov.uk and I will try and ensure your concerns are passed on and if possible addressed.

Some of the concerns I have already received for example are-

Too many houses proposed
Type of houses (Size and so on.)
Children’s road safety.
Extra Traffic generated in the area
Traffic lights for both ends of Booths Lane are needed
Improvement of local roads given extra traffic being generated if scheme goes ahead.
Parking
Keeping Booths Lane open during construction.
Keeping the old Booths Lane in good condition for bikes and pedestrians after the development has finished
Effects on infrastructure of area, doctors, school Places and so on.
Retention of the golf course as an open space ( not necessarily as a golf course but for public use?)
Protection of near by open spaces.
Improving Leisure services in the area.

I am sure you can think of other issues to ask about and thank you to all those who have already emailed me regarding their concerns
