DONT THROW LIFE RINGS IN THE QUESLETT RESERVE LAKE

It was good to be able to spend an hour or 2 in the Queslett Nature Reserve doing a little light pruning, checking for ASB and meeting some of the reserves users.

The reserve looked fine today nice and clean thanks to the efforts of members of the FQR like John and Brenda.

Sadly for some unknown reason some youths are continuing to put lives at risk by throwing life rings into the lake.

Should the worst happen these youths would have to live with their actions, the Council will not be to blame, the education system will not be to blame it will  down to the person who threw the ring into the lake.
I hope parents will remind their children of the folly of doing that. The Queslett Lake like all standing bodies of water can be very dangerous.
