PROPERTY OWNERS NEED TO STOP THEIR HEDGES AND TREES OBSTRUCTING OUR PAVEMEMTS

Properties in Oscott with over grown over hedges/trees (onto the pavement) are becoming a real nuisance.
A number of properties have gardens usually front ones where trees and bushes over hang pavements in such a way as to make it difficult to get past. This applies to all sorts of properties even in some cases schools.
I understand we have had ideal weather for the growth and trees and bushes this year and that Council owned trees on the road have gone mad growth wise but this is a problem which needs to be dealt with.
Obstructed pavements can cause real problems especially for mothers with prams, disabled people in wheel chairs or using mobility scooters.
I am working with the Highways department to identify the worst bush/Tree obstructed pavements so they can send the property owner letters requesting they cut back their trees and bushes to their boundary lines.
