WE MUST STOP THE FLY TIPPING AND LITTERING IN OSCOTT

Putting up signs to remind people do not fly tip

Despite the fact there is an election taking place there is still lots of local isues to be dealt with.
Fly tipping is still a real problem in the Oscott area which needs dealing with for example.

Some people often, from outside the area, seem to think they can just come along a dump their rubbish anywhere. These people need to be and heavily fined.

Sadly some Oscott residents feel it is ok to dump rubbish in their own rear access ways and this is wrong to.

There is a salve department where rubbish will be taken in free of charge at Halford Drive ( off the Aldridge Road) just minutes from anywhere in Oscott which means there is no excuse for fly tipping.

I work closely with members of the Friends of the Queslett Nature Reserve to organise and carry out litter picks and removing small items of dumped rubbish in some of our grot spot areas like the Public Right of way between Birkenshaw Road and Birdbrook Road. I  would like to pay tribute to these volunteers for what they do. If you would like a volunteer please let me know.

I would also like to thank the Council crew who take on the task of removing some of the fly tipped rubbish that ends up on our streets
