Although Aldi have held a consultation meeting and attended an Oscott Committee meeting to out line their proposals for developing land on the corner of Old Horns Crescent and Queslett Road, near the ASDA, I have been informed by the Birmingham City Planning Department NO PLANNING APPLICATION HAS GONE IN.
There have been some visits to the site and pre application discussions may be taking place however and I understand the Planning department are discussing possible concerns with the developers.
Residents have passed on a number of views to me some in favour of the current plans and some against. Those against have concerns regarding, traffic, parking, competition and environmental issues. Any one with a concern can contacted the Planning department.
This site however is NOT part of the Queslett Nature Reserve but clearly the interests of the reserve must be considered.
