Owners
must chip dogs or face fines
A new law means dog owners have until Wednesday (6th April) to chip their pets or face
a possible £500 fine. So far, more than a million have not been done.
It is
said that chipping the creatures could cut the £57m-a-year councils and
charities spend caring for and rehoming lost or abandoned dogs.
More importantly it helps those owners who love their pets to find them should they get lost.
