Rumours that the 610 Community Centre is to close are ill founded. At the Perry Barr District Committee which was held on the 28th March following questions from Oscott Councillors a senior officer from the Youth Service informed the meeting due to the complexities’ of the lease on the 610 Community Centre it will not be closing.
As you may be aware your 3 Oscott Councillors Led by Councillor Barbara Dring have been battling to ensure the 610 Community Centre would not close.
This news will be a great relief to many youngsters, elderly residents as well as a number of community organisations which use this centre. This Centre is badly needed by the local community and the Oscott Councillors will continue to do what we can to keep it.
