BOOTHS LANE TO CLOSE FOR DEVELOPEMENT

The preparation work for realigning Booths Lane is underway.

Cameron Homes have informed me that they are starting work on their new development which will mean a temporary closure of Booths Lane (unadopted section). The end nearer Queslett Road.
This work will involve extensive re aligning of the old carriage way and the closure of the old road. They are also working to prepare the land its self.
The closure will take place in a few weeks time (mid May) and Cameron Homes have assured me they will send a letter of explanation to near by residents.
Given this development has to take place I will be pushing for the work to be done as soon as possible but the road will be closed for some time.
Those who use this road with vehicles will need to find alternative routes.
 For pedestrians
The realignment and upgrade of the private part of Booths Lane begins soon they will take steps to enhance to a 'safe' standard the footpath that currently runs alongside Booths Farm and links Booths Lane to Caddick Road. This will mean pedestrians will still able use this whilst the remainder of the private part of Booths Lane (from Queslett Road in the west to Booths Farm remains in the east) is closed off for safety reasons as it effectively becomes a building site. In other word the path will be diverted via Caddick Road for the time being so you may need to be prepared for a longer walk.
