PART OF THE 997 BUS ROUTE MAY JUST BECOME A BIT MORE COMFORTABLE FOR BUS USERES

Some good news for those of use who use the 997 bus to get to town ( Birmingham) and back. After a numberr of attempts Amey Highways are to fill in some pot holes on the Aldridge Road between Well head Lane and the Boars Head. Lets hope when they have done it we can have a more comfortable ride. Those who use the route will know what I mean.

Dear Councillor Linnecor

Carriageway Concerns– Aldridge Road Oscott

Thank you for your report regarding the condition of the carriageway on Aldridge Road.
Following an investigation of your enquiry by our Highway Inspectors on 13th July 2016, I can confirm that a job has been raised to repair the potholes at the above location that meet our safety criteria for repair.
We endeavour to complete this work within a 28 day time period. Please note that we currently have a number of non-dangerous defects in our routine works programme and we are repairing these based on a safety matrix which prioritises repair timescales accordingly. Therefore, depending on the severity of the defect it could take us between 28 days and 56 days
