CHILDREN WITTH AUTISM AND THEIR PARENTS NEED MORE HELP.

It is a great shame more help is not given for those who have children with Autism.

The Council has I understand teams who are the trade arm of Behaviour Support, re Communication and Autism, Educational Psychology, Physical Difficulties Support, Pupil and School Support and Sensory Support.

As an integrated organisation their mission within Access to Education is to work in homes and educational settings, putting children, young people and their families at the front of what they do

However there does not appear to be much in the way of those who support these children and there needs to be more done all round. The Parent Support Network for Autism (P.S.N.A is a family support group who are trying to address the lack of help on offer and seem to be doing a good job highlighting the problem
