AGE CONCERN PERRY BARR AGM

I managed to get along to the Age Concern Perry Barr,AGM this week.

It appears that at a national level Age Concern and Help the Aged may well be about to merge. I have been assured they this should not effect what happens locally at the sharp end.

However what is more of a concern is, the Current Council Administration has, put out a number of the services currently provided by Age Concern to tender.

This is part of a pilot scheme thought up by the current Council Administration. Lets hope Age Concern Perry Barr, do well in the tendering process, as it would be tragic for local elderly residents if all their good work was wasted. Age Concern Pery Barr certainly have my support for what it is worth.
