WARREN ROAD TO CLOSE SEPTEMBER 6TH FOR 5 NIGHTS FOR RESURFACING

Warren Road : Oscott  : Ref No: AMEY07/Y4/F891760

What’s Happening?

Amey will be resurfacing Warren Road from College Road to Hawthorn Road .

This work is part of a 5 year upgrade of Birmingham’s highways network, in which Amey will be resurfacing around 45% of the roads in the city. For the very first time, every road in the city has been visually inspected to understand its condition and a prioritised programme of work has been developed to improve it. You can view the programme of works online - www.birmingham.gov.uk/highways-works-programme.

When Will This Happen?

The expected start date is During the week ending 6th September 2013. The work will last for up to 5 nights . Amey will be working weekdays at night between 7.00pm and 6.00am hours. Amey have to work on this road at night because it would cause congestion or access problems if they closed the road during the day. Amey will endeavour to keep noise to a minimum but inevitably our work will cause some disruption. Please accept Their sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
PLEASE CONSULT THE FREE STANDING YELLOW SIGNS THAT ARE LOCATED AT EITHER END OF YOUR ROAD, FOR SPECIFIC START DATES

This is a hatrick of good news information. Like with some of the other roads in the area I have been in touch on many occasions requesting Warren road which I use most days, be re surfaced. Everyone who uses it must realise this needs to happen.
There are still too many roads in Oscott that need not only their pavements resurfaced but also pavements relayed and trees pruned.
I will along with my colleagues Councillor Barbara Dring and Councillor Tristan Chatfield continue to battle to get more roads upgraded and brought up to standard and put pressure on Amey to do so.
