As many resident know Booths Lane has had to be closed due to the new build development being undertaken by persimmons Homes.
The closure of this road is causing many problems for local resident who have trouble getting to their destination due to the congestion at the Old Horns island and Scot Arms junction.
I have been calling on all concerned parties to ensure Booths Lane re opens as soon as possible.
I have been assured the road will be re opened but there is still much doubt as to when.
Clearly the issue of the reopening of this road needed to be sorted out and with this in mind I am continuing to press the developer and the Council to get a move on.
There are some issues relating the the build of the Houses close to the road and health and safety but these need to be resolved to allow vehicles to use this road again to get to Sandy Lane.
The Oscott Ward Committee in a further effort to try and resolve the issue will be requesting the developer to attend the next meeting of the Oscott Ward Committee.
