OSCOTT WARD ADVISORY BOARD HELP ENSURE OSCOTT COMMUNITY CHEST MONEY IS WELL SPENT

It was good to see a good turn out of the Oscott Ward Advisory Board members at last nights meeting.
At these meeting local community Group leaders can meet with agencies like the Police,NHS and Age UK to discuss issues of concern in the Oscott area and to give advice to their local Councillors.

At last nights WAB meeting we monitored the progress of the Oscott Community Chest funding grants that have been given out.

Most are progressing well and a number of groups and agencies have sent in reports informing us if they have received their funding from the Council and how it is being spent. The Oscott Ward Councillors regularly request the Oscott Ward support officer monitor all aspects of any funding given and are very keen to keep the Oscott tradition of insuring Oscotts limited Community Chest funding grants are used during the year and where needed rolled over to the following year to allow for continuity in the case of some of the bigger projects. All the money we are allowed is used.

As Chair of the Oscott Ward Advisory Board I would like to express my thanks to all those dedicated un sung members of the board who put in so much time and effort to help the Oscott area.
